{"id":37,"date":"2023-09-26T23:27:21","date_gmt":"2023-09-26T23:27:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/informeddentistry-staging.approvedsystems.net.au\/?page_id=37"},"modified":"2025-12-29T04:05:23","modified_gmt":"2025-12-29T04:05:23","slug":"our-prices","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/informeddentistry.com.au\/index.php\/our-prices\/","title":{"rendered":"OUR PRICES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OUR PRICES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Examinations<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>\/ Check ups<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Initial examination &#8211; from $95.00 &#8211; $120.00<br>Six monthly or Twelve monthly examination &#8211; $95.00<br>Limited examination used to assess a specific complaint &#8211; from $95.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Radiographs \/ X-Rays<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Intraoral radiograph (bitewing or periapical) &#8211; $45.00 each<br>Panoramic radiograph (OPG) &#8211; $140.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scale and Clean and Polish of teeth<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Costs depend on how much stain, plaque or tartar\/calculus present.&nbsp; As a guide:<br>Removal of plaque and stain, no tartar\/calculus &#8211; $110.00<br>Removal of tartar\/calculus, plaque and stain &#8211; Children under 18 years old from $110, Adults&nbsp;from&nbsp;$170.00<br>If more than one visit is required, each subsequent visit &#8211;&nbsp;from&nbsp;$195.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fluoride Rinse at the Dentist<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We are strong believers in Fluoride but our view is most people do not benefit from Fluoride treatments at the dentist.&nbsp; We believe it is an unnecessary expense.<br>Canberra&#8217;s fluoridated water combined with Fluoride toothpastes provide a sufficient source of Fluoride.&nbsp; If you feel strongly about extra Fluoride treatments, we are happy for people to use products such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Colgate Neutrafluor 220 Daily Rinse&nbsp; (generally costs less than $15.00 for approximately half a litre)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Colgate Neutrafuor 5000 Toothpaste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tooth Mousse Plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Extractions&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Costs depend on difficulty.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>Routine extraction &#8211; $345.00&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br>Complex extraction &#8211;&nbsp;from&nbsp;$395.00<br>Please note periapical radiographs are generally required prior to a tooth extraction.&nbsp; As mentioned above, cost is $45 per radiograph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fillings \/ Restorations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Costs depend on difficulty, size and choice of material.\u00a0 As a guide:<br>Temporary restoration &#8211; $135.00<br>Small white filling &#8211; $220.00 &#8211; $245.00<br>Medium size white filling &#8211; $245.00 &#8211; $295.00<br>Large white filling &#8211; $295.00 &#8211; $695.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Extra charges apply when:<br>Pulp capping &#8211; $45.00&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Therapeutic material placed under a large filling where cavity is close to the pulp\/nerve chamber.<br>Cusp capping &#8211; $45.00&nbsp; &nbsp; When build up of cusps on back teeth required.<br>Incisal corner &#8211; $45.00&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;When front teeth fillings require reconstruction of a corner of the tooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Root Canal Treatments<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We strongly encourage everyone who can afford to have Root Canal Treatment see an Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist).&nbsp; Their long term results are superior as they have equipment, such as microscopes, which most general dentists do not have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our costs are dependent on the number of canals.&nbsp; As a guide:<br>Teeth with one canal including x-rays (most front teeth) &#8211;&nbsp; $1200.00<br>Teeth with two canals including x-rays (mostly premolar teeth) &#8211; $1600.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dentures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Partial dentures&nbsp;can be acrylic or metal.&nbsp; Costs depend on size and type of denture.<br>Partial denture acrylic base &#8211; from $950.00 + teeth ($80.00 per tooth) + clasps ($50.00 per clasp).<br>Partial denture metal base &#8211;&nbsp; from $1995.00 + teeth&nbsp;($80.00 per tooth) + clasps ($50.00 per clasp) + rests ($50.00 per clasp)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full dentures&nbsp;are generally acrylic, although a metallic base can be used for those with strong bites.<br>Upper Full denture &#8211;&nbsp; $2500.00<br>Lower Full denture &#8211;&nbsp; $2500.00<br>Full Upper and Full Lower dentures &#8211; $5000.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Crowns&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cost depends on difficulty, materials used and size. If a precious metal is used, it will cost more and we will inform you of that extra cost.
