Fluoride Rinse at the Dentist

We are strong believers in Fluoride but our view is most people do not benefit from Fluoride treatments at the dentist.  We believe it is an unnecessary expense.

Canberra's fluoridated water combined with Fluoride toothpastes provide a sufficient source of Fluoride.  If you feel strongly about extra Fluoride treatments, we are happy for people to use products such as:

- Colgate Neutrafluor 220 Daily Rinse  (generally costs less than $15.00 for approximately half a litre)

- Colgate Neutrafuor 5000 Toothpaste

- Tooth Mousse Plus

Extractions

Costs depend on difficulty.

Routine extraction - $245.00

Complex extraction - from $265.00

Please note periapical radiographs are generally required prior to a tooth extraction.  As mentioned above, cost is $40 per radiograph.

Root Canal Treatments

We strongly encourage everyone who can afford to have Root Canal Treatment see an Endodontist (Root Canal Specialist).  Their long term results are superior as they have equipment, such as microscopes, which most general dentists do not have.

Our costs are dependent on the number of canals.  As a guide:

Teeth with one canal including x-rays (most front teeth) -  $950.00

Teeth with two canals including x-rays (mostly premolar teeth) - $1330.00

Upper Full denture -  $1300.00

Lower Full denture -  $1300.00

Full Upper and Full Lower dentures - $2500.00

Implant Crowns

We refer to Periodontists for implant placement.  Once implant placement is completed, we take care of creating and attaching the crown to the implant.

Costs of an Implant Crown varies according to size, difficulty and materials chosen.  As a guide:

Implant Crowns - $2650.00

Once again, all our crowns are made by Australian qualified technicians to Australian standards in Australia.   We do not offer crowns made overseas due to a lack of quality control unless specifically asked for by you.
